Now is not the time to take the easy way out, and you both (somewhere, deep down) know it.
As soon as you cut that corner, you'll realize you need it -- and it just won't look the same stitched Frankenstein-style back on.
The shortcut looks awfully appealing; think of all the time you'll save! But doing it right the first time will be far speedier in the long run.
Thinking ahead like this isn't the most thrilling thing to do, but it is the smartest. Help each other be the smartest versions of yourselves possible.
