stuffed...unsatisfactorily...

saturday, 15th Jan 2005. first time brought along on the ever famous family dinner. it was supposed to include only my dad's siblings (and respective spouses). However, my sistas & i managed to tag alg thanx to mummy dearest....
Dinner was at Seri Kampung Restaurant..the site which used to house the Floating Seafood Restaurant. Boy were we shocked upon reaching the carpark...3/4 filled with taxis, vans & lorries from UNION. A sea of red.
The interior was....o-kay. suspect they dont cater to many customers each nite. they were lacking in manpower resulting in slow service. Even the DJ had to help clear the tables at the end of it all...
While waiting for the rest of the family, the adults talked and us 'kids' watched the dancers on stage. they did a total of 3 separate dances. what attracted me the most was the 2nd one...
a mixture of different styles of dancing...and it had zapin!! hahaha
was motioning to my mum at the other table...
"alrite aper mereka berzapin...so y wont u let me??"
earlier on in the year, my mum was against me learning zapin coz she said that it doesnt look nice when performed by gals...hmph
Order time..:
"yana..kita2 order dulu ye..nanti baru your table leh order.."
like duh. im not a kid dear aunt of mine...*grr*
but...the waiter went over to take our orders first.. heh.. even he felt my sisters should get their meals first :p
aft the extremely long time ordering..the waiter finally manages to return his attention to us. I was about to make our order when....
the same aunt mentioned above came to take the responsibility of ordering for us....my dad tagged along...[to make sure we dint order too expensive dishes, dint want his sister to tynk we're taking advantage of her treat...*rolls eyes*]
wat does she think i am? i small little kid who doesnt know what her sisters can or cannot eat? wake up man! im already a freaking teenager and i can freaking take care of my sisters alrite! i dont need you to make the decisions for us..we're not even ur daughters for crying out loud!
but of coz i cldnt say tt to her...no matter how much i wanted to juz push her over and resume ordering :/ ...niwae, turns out that she ordered:
- Sliced fish with Lemon
- Baby Kai Lan with Special Sauce
- Buttered Prawn
note: my 2 younger sisters dont like to eat veggies...and prawns?? such a hassle to eat in a restaurant...thus, only yani n me were stuffed with kailan and prawn...
prawn...the one thg i dint want to be stuffed with...haiz
went home to realize that my other uncle is gonna treat us next wk...damn! clash with my plans to go out with Didi & Sharf...
N0te: im so so so sorry...cld we postpone it?? Didi..i msged u abt it oreadi..so how?
