A battle of wills. Of mind against heart. Which one will triumph? The winner determines her fate.. her sanity...


those are the words splashed repeatedly in the mind's inner screen. those are the items needed to be focused on. nothing else but that shall be its aim.


There is only one thing her mind and heart cannot agree on. What is it? What can cause a person be ripped in two? To hover between practicality and emotion. What aspect in life requires the heart be hardened? only one thg can require such measures be taken.


anything and everything related to the abovementioned word can affect productivity. if given the freedom to roam, it will eventually drive her off her goals.


the mind reasons. the heart pleads. Time ticks away...
why must she give up on her feelings? Arent those what makes her human? Love and crushes...part & parcel in the gift of life. Won't she too lose her sanity without her feelings for him to soothe her when she's stressed? Something for her to look forward to at the end of the day?


Aye.. she needs that too... but for now, she's better off without them. The distraction they cause outweighs its pros.


a box appears. a wooden piece with delightfully intricate carvings of a girl & a guy holding hands within a heart shape. Slowly, all she have, that is related to guys, come together to form a ball of energy. pulsating blue. the lid opens with a 'click' and in goes the ball. only to be released when the time comes.

she feels empty at first. but as the box fades from view, determination fills the gaps and off she goes..back to reality.

the mind has won.
